Uganda | Sipi Falls Coop | Anaerobic Natural

from $17.00

This coffee is a mix of Typica, SL-14. and SL-28 cherry varieties from the Sipi Falls co-op, a group of organic coffee farmers near the stunning Sipi Falls in eastern Uganda. The co-op is part of the Zukuka Bora Coffee Company, which works directly with the farmers to improve the quality and sustainability of coffee production in the region. The coffee is grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon, an ancient extinct volcano that provides fertile volcanic soil and high altitude for the coffee trees. The coffee is processed by the anaerobic natural method, in which the whole fruit is fermented in an oxygen-free environment before being pulped and dried.
